Teaching Advancement Grant

The Teaching Advancement Grant (TAG) seeks to build upon the success of an earlier fund, the Curricular Development Challenge Fund (CDCF) that has now been sunsetted. TAG’s innovative collaboration model will impact classrooms across NYU (and potentially other universities) by developing measurable, evidence-based, and effective classroom practices capable of improving student learning in a variety of contexts.

University Research Challenge Fund

The University Research Challenge Fund (URCF) supports faculty-initiated research on a competitive basis, encouraging faculty who are exploring new areas of research that are likely to attract outside support, and faculty engaging in productive scholarship in areas where there are few sources of support.

Global Research Initiatives

The Provost's Global Research Initiatives supports research-related activities: faculty and graduate student visits to the sites; dissertation workshops for doctoral students; funding for workshops and colloquia at the sites and on the Square; and housing for international visitors collaborating with NYU faculty.

Green Grants

NYU Green Grants are awarded to improve the university's operational environmental performance, foster environmental literacy and community engagement, advance applied research and design, and demonstrate the viability of best practices and technologies for sustainability.

Vladeck Fellowships

The Stephen Charney Vladeck Junior Faculty Fellowship assists junior NYU faculty in launching or completing substantial research in social justice, healthcare, labor law, labor history, and/or individual rights.

Distinguished Teaching Awards

The Distinguished Teaching Award is presented annually to outstanding full-time faculty members in recognition that one of NYU's primary institutional priorities, along with research, is exceptional teaching inside and outside of the classroom setting.

Goddard Junior Faculty Fellowships

The Goddard Award provides junior faculty with a concentrated period of time to conduct research and scholarship, which will lead toward meeting the criteria for promotion and tenure at NYU.

NYU Student Conference Fund

The Student Government Assembly (SGA), established a fund to support students traveling to conferences to present a project, is available to all students, both undergraduate and graduate, who are looking for funding to attend a conference related to their academic or professional goals.
