Equity and Belonging for NYU Steinhardt Students

Equity and belonging are part of our core values. We are stronger when our community of faculty, students, administrators, and staff includes a spectrum of identities, experiences, and perspectives. We celebrate our richness with enthusiasm.

Here at NYU Steinhardt we strive to create a supportive learning environment that is welcoming to all, where everyone can thrive by seeing the world through many perspectives, regardless of race and ethnicity, nationality, class, sex, gender identity and expression, ability, faith/belief, sexual orientation, and age. We recognize that we still have a great deal of work ahead of us to realize these ideals.

We take pride in building toward an equitable and civil community, where everyone can feel safe, healthy, and free to be themselves. Together we strive to uphold NYU Steinhardt's values of impact, inclusion, innovation, and interconnectedness.
