Interested in starting a new club?

The online application for new clubs will open at the beginning of each Fall semester.. In addition to this online application, you must fill out and submit a 25-signature digital petition (a template is provided).  You will also need a name, a mission statement, a uniqueness statement, a constituency of focus, and a club format (online, in-person, or hybrid). We also require five founding members (all full-time Steinhardt students) and a Steinhardt faculty advisor. You will also need to go ahead and outline three events for that first Fall semester.

The USG Executive Board will review applications based on (1) the unique impact of your organization, (2) planned outreach towards the whole Steinhardt community through programming, and (3) its ability to maintain student sovereignty regarding other organizations.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email steinhardt.usg@nyu.edu.
