Composers' Collective

What we are about: NYU Composers' Collective (CC) exists, first and foremost, to promote the music of NYU Steinhardt composers. The title of composer is not exclusively referring to those pursuing a major in Music Theory and Composition, but to all who contribute to expanding the repertoire of contemporary music. With each event, we strive to spotlight and showcase the wide range of talents found at our school: cutting edge concert composers, film composers, songwriters, and electronic music composers are all to be given opportunities for promotion and exposure. The wide variety of events CC puts on—concerts, guest speakers, workshops, etc.—attempt to service the needs of music-makers of all types and genres, expanding the opportunities offered to those who study music at NYU Steinhardt.
