Partnership Schools

Teaching and Learning

NYU Partnership Schools reflect the diversity and complexity of educational experiences across NYC communities.

These school communities foster creativity, learning, joy and empathy for classroom students. Throughout their teaching journey, Teacher Education students will have the opportunity to engage in field work and student teaching experiences with our network partnership schools and community organizations.

Over the course of the academic school year, we partner with 100-150  school communities across New York City, including NYC Public Schools, community Head Start programs, independent schools, and charter schools. Many of our partnership schools have been hosting NYU students for over 15 years. Our graduates have gone on to work as classroom teachers and school leaders in the schools where they began their teaching experience as student teachers.

The Teacher Education Office of School and Community Partnerships team will reach out to all students in advance of their field work/student teaching semester(s) and place them with a school community that meets their program requirements.

Please contact the Office of School and Community Partnerships team at PartnershipsOffice@nyu.edu with any questions.
