Research description/bio: Miri Cha is a doctoral student in International Education at NYU. Her interest intersects human rights, refugee education, social behaviors change, technology as a learning tool, community based development and peace and conflict studies.
Prior to her doctoral program, she worked at North Korean human rights NGO based in Seoul, South Korea. She was a senior project manager of an Education Team, organized and operated educational projects and the projects to raise awareness on human rights violations in North Korea both domestically and internationally. Her projects varied from literacy and numeracy to humanities, including topics such as human rights, transitional justice and international law. Miri holds an MA in Educational Technology from Hanyang University, Korea and BA in Politics from New York University.
