Research Description/Bio: 

Gabrielle Drake is a doctoral student in the Clinical/Counseling Psychology program at New York University. Her research interests center around mental health among trauma-exposed youth, caregiver-child relationships, and sustainable interventions. In particular, she is interested in how caregiver involvement can enhance the effectiveness of interventions targeting disruptive behavioral symptoms in traumatized children.

Before joining NYU, Gabrielle contributed to research in Global Mental Health with Dr. M. Claire Greene, examining interventions for children affected by trauma in low- and middle-income countries impacted by humanitarian crises. She also conducted research on child behavior and social development with Dr. Julia Marshall. Gabrielle has clinical experience working with Spanish-speaking children from underserved communities and has contributed to treatment programs for children with selective mutism.

Gabrielle received her B.S. in Psychology from Boston College and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
