NYU Steinhardt Music and Performing Arts Professions invites all currently matriculated NYU students and all other members of the University community to audition for NYU Steinhardt’s Fall 2022 music ensembles.

NYU Chorale
Traditionally the largest choral ensemble at NYU, NYU Chorale offers singers an in-depth performance experience of important works for SATB voices.
NYU Wind Symphony
The ensemble explores both significant, traditional repertoire and new repertoire by living composers who write for woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
Jazz Orchestras
Future music teachers and other members of the university learn how to organize, rehearse, and develop their own Big Band.
NYU Saxophone Orchestra
The ensemble’s repertoire spans all styles, from traditional to contemporary music and students have an opportunity to perform on the entire family of saxophones.
Vocal Ensembles
Background Vocal Recording Techniques, Contemporary Vocal Ensemble, Pop/Rock Ensemble, Unplugged Ensemble, and Village Voices.
Chamber Music Ensembles
Chamber music is an essential part of your instrumental performance education at NYU Steinhardt. Chamber music ensembles are organized through each instrumental program.
NYU Orchestra
The NYU Orchestra is the premier ensemble at NYU through which you will study and perform orchestral works ranging from those of the classical canon to those from diverse historical and contemporary composers.
Depending on the program, auditions will be held between August 24 - September 6
