Currently, the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions (MPAP) supports 15 student clubs as well as other MPAP student groups. Most groups are performance-related and request space for meetings, rehearsals and performances. MPAP also regularly receives requests to use our spaces from other student clubs and performing arts groups.
MPAP’s Theatre Use Committee annually reserves five week-long bookings in the spring in the Black Box Theater for student productions. Due to limited department facilities and curricular needs, we must deny any additional club requests to use our performance spaces. Additionally, to balance our academic needs and extracurricular activities, MPAP can no longer offer facilities to non-MPAP clubs and organizations. We will refer requests to the Center for Student Life for assistance in finding space.
