The NYU Steinhardt Clinical Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is a unique post-professional advanced certificate program offering specialized training in orthopedic physical therapy. The program curriculum includes intensive coursework and paid internships, providing you with advanced orthopedic knowledge and clinical skills. Successful completion of this program will qualify you to sit for the board-certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) Exam, enabling you to become a board-certified orthopedic physical therapist.
Core Course Sequence
You’ll take courses in anatomy and physiology, evidence-based physical therapy, and mentored clinical practice, where you’ll learn to provide direct physical therapy interventions for patients with a range of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities.
