Research Description/Bio: Mike (he/him/his) is currently a part time Doctoral Student beginning his 3rd year. Mike's current research interests are in LGBTQ+ Students in higher education, specifically within STEM. Additionally, he is interested in how we can take theory and use it to make systemic change within institutions of higher education.
In addition to his studies, Mike serves as the Associate Director of Student Engagement within the Office of Student Leadership & Engagement at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Mike received his BA in Drama Studies from the State University of New York at Purchase College and his MA in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Some of Mike's favorite things outside of work and school are theatre, coffee, and exploring NYC with his friends.
