What was the best class you took as an AP student?
There were many great classes, so it's hard to pick just one. However, I had a fantastic experience in Dr. Sharon Weinberg's statistics courses. I mention these classes specifically because I previously had very bad experiences in statistics classes during my undergraduate studies. I find that this experience is common among students and that many develop a sort of "stats phobia" as a result. Dr. Weinberg was a very thorough, understanding, warm, and helpful instructor. I went from being "stats phobic" to being a stats enthusiast over the course of four classes with her.
What was the most influential part of your experience in your program?
The most influential part of my experience in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program was building a network of mentors and peers that I continue to work with to this day. I learned how to collaborate on research projects with my colleagues and how to practice as a counseling psychologist in a contemporary context.
