Research Description/Bio: Fanny is a doctoral candidate in the Sociology of Education program. Having grown up in New York City, she has been interested in exploring the experiences of college students who commute into a large city for their higher education. Specifically, Fanny is eager to learn more about how a college student's identity as a first through second-generation immigrant and commuter student impacts their college experience.
Prior to joining the Sociology of Education program, Fanny received her BA in Sociology and her MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs, both from New York University.
