Requirements
In order to successfully complete the dual BM/MM in Music Technology you are expected to:
- Complete the 128 credits required for the bachelor’s degree and 32 credits for the master’s degree.
- Pass up to four required master's-level courses with a grade of C or better by the beginning of the fall of your fifth year of study. These courses will not count toward the 128 credits required for the bachelor's degree, but will count towards the 32 credits required for the master's degree.
- The 32 master's program credits must include the following courses (a total of 13 credits): Fundamentals of Digital Signal Theory (3 credits) and laboratory (1 credit), Advanced Computer Music Composition (3 credits), a graduate-level music tech elective (3 credits) and the Music Technology Colloquy (3 credits). If necessary, the thesis defense can be scheduled for the fall of your sixth year, as long as all other coursework has been completed.
