Audition Dates
Early Decision I
Audition deadline is November 20, 2023.
Early Decision II
Audition deadline is January 28, 2024.
Regular Decision
Auditions will be held in the following dates: February 23 and February 24.
Should you be unable to attend a live audition at NYU, applicants may submit audition videos via GetAcceptd. Please review the deadlines for Early Decision 1, Early Decision 2 and Regular Decision applicants. You must submit your audition video online by the dates indicated.
Upon submitting your application and materials, please contact Christina Charles cc5042@nyu.edu to schedule your audition date and time. There is no prescreen required for the NYU Brass Program.
Additional Notes
Though NYU’s deadline for Spring transfer admission is November 1 and our deadline for Summer/Fall transfer admission is April 1, we suggest that you submit your Common Application one month in advance. Submitting your Common Application early will leave you more time to schedule an audition by our deadlines noted above.

- Three orchestral excerpts
At the conclusion of your audition, you will be asked to answer the following questions:
- What are you goals and aspirations as a college student?
- Why have you chosen NYU Steinhardt?
