Dissertation Format Workshops
If you are planning to file your dissertation on the next deadline and would like to attend a Dissertation Format Workshop, please email Nancy Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 212-998-5044.
The Dissertation Format Workshops are for students who have questions about preparing the dissertation according to the format requirements outlined in the Dissertation Format section of this site. We will also go over the procedures for filing dissertations and scheduling the final oral exam. You should bring a draft of your dissertation or the section you would like to review. Please note that this workshop is for format only and we will not be discussing dissertation content.
Upcoming workshop dates and times will be posted here when available. If no workshops are scheduled prior to your dissertation filing date and you would like to go over your format, please contact Nancy Hall at email@example.com for an appointment.
In addition to the University's Commencement ceremony (which includes all schools and all degrees), the Steinhardt School holds a graduation ceremony for doctoral graduates each May. We encourage our doctoral graduates to attend this convocation and doctoral hooding ceremony.
September, January, and May doctoral graduates will be invited to attend the Doctoral Convocation ceremony in May. Invitations will be sent to eligible candidates in late March. Please call the Office of Doctoral Studies at 212-998-5044 for more information or visit the Steinhardt Graduation webpage.
