Linnie Green serves as Clinical Assistant Professor and Co-Director of Undergraduate Studies in Applied Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College.
Dr. Green is trained as both a researcher and clinician. Her current research targets understanding and implementing more culturally-responsive pedagogy in undergraduate education and examining culturally-responsive practice in early childhood educational settings. Using her clinical background, Dr. Green aims to promote community-based, partnership-driven practices in her research collaborations both within the university and communities-at-large. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Educational Psychology and Early Childhood Research Quarterly.
Prior to joining NYU, Dr. Green was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Boston College School of Social Work. She has also worked in private practice in New York City with children and families.
