Summer Brass Workshop

Featuring daily brass quartet and quintet coachings with the Manhattan Brass (Brass Quintet-in-Residence), along with master classes with internationally acclaimed artists from the brass worlds of orchestral, opera, Broadway, jazz, and studio music. The weeklong workshop culminates in an evening of student ensemble performances at the Provincetown Playhouse.

Open to high school students, college students, and young professionals, ages 16 and up. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, students will be able to easily access many legendary music venues, including the Blue Note, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Village Vanguard, and many Broadway shows. Summer in New York City is a great musical experience with street performers and music festivals in the parks, including local Washington Square Park.

Audition Requirements

Submit a recording of you performing a solo or section of solo no more than five minutes, and two contrasting etudes. Advanced students may also submit three excerpts in place of the two etudes.
