The Steinhardt Leadership Program

The Steinhardt Leadership Program (SLP) is an extensive training program for high potential administrators in Steinhardt. The program is facilitated by the University's Talent, Learning and Organizational Development team (TLOD) and will cover a wide array of topics focusing on administrative leadership skills in higher education. Also included are a 360-degree feedback assessment and a one-on-one confidential session with a TLOD coach.

In previous years, courses have included:

  • Developing a Strategic Mindset
  • Effective Communication
  • Coaching for Performance Improvement & Performance Management
  • Thriving during Change
  • Managing Projects

In the last few years we have led three full cohorts of the Steinhardt Leadership Program. Our metrics show that over 70% of the graduating participants were able to utilize the new skills and professional development feedback they received from 360 assessments to grow further in their careers and/or move on to greater opportunities.
