Required Training
NYU requires all designated employees to complete the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and the Active Threat Preparedness Online Training. These trainings are essential to maintaining compliance with university policies and legal requirements.
The Sexual Harassment Prevention Training outlines reporting options, university policies, and shared responsibilities for preventing and addressing sexual harassment and related misconduct.
The NYU Active Threat Preparedness Training provides practical guidance on recognizing potential threats, responding during emergencies, and utilizing available university resources.
All required participants must complete these trainings by the assigned University deadlines.
Optional Training
In addition to required trainings, NYU and Steinhardt offer optional trainings that support a more inclusive campus environment. Participation is encouraged to strengthen both individual effectiveness and the broader NYU and Steinhardt community. See the optional trainings below.

Steinhardt Human Resources offers year-round development and engagement programs, including the biennial Steinhardt Leadership Program, New Hire Coaching, monthly Lunch & Learn sessions, orientation, Take Your Children to Work Day, and the Steinhardt Recognition Event.
Managers can request one-on-one HR training with Gabriel Lopez, Assistant Vice President, UHR/School HR Collaborative Services, covering HR policies, Coaching for Performance, or team-building sessions using DiSC® Assessments.
