Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarships

Steinhardt Dean's Global Scholarship

The Steinhardt Dean’s Global Scholarship provides need-based awards to Steinhardt undergraduate students who will be participating in an undergraduate or graduate level Steinhardt short-term study away program. The scholarship will support students who are less likely to study away due to financial constraints. This includes, but is not limited to first generation students, Pell Grant recipients, and commuters. U.S. citizens and international students are eligible to apply. 

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled full-time Steinhardt undergraduate student
  • Applied for an NYU Steinhardt short-term study away program
  • Able to submit a copy of your FAFSA Student Aid Report (US citizens only) or other financial documentation (international students)
  • Must provide a statement of demonstrated financial need (US citizens and international students)

How to Apply

  • Complete the Steinhardt Dean's Global Scholarship application 
    • Attach a copy of your FAFSA Student Aid Report (US citizens only) or other financial documentation (international students)
    • Attach your statement of demonstrated financial need (150 word max)

Deadlines

  • October 15 for January and Spring programs
  • March 15 for Summer and Fall programs

NYU Scholarships and Aid

Tuition and registration fees for full-time Steinhardt students remains the same during semesters spent at a global location as long as the student is enrolled in 12-18 points. Financial aid package also remains the same while studying a semester away at an NYU Global Academic Center.

All Steinhardt undergraduate students who have been admitted for a semester at an NYU Global Academic Center, are automatically evaluated for the below awards:

Global Pathways Scholarship (up to $4,000 per semester)
Global Programs Merit Scholarships ($1,500 per semester)
Study Away Need-Based Grants ($3,000)

Additional specialized awards are available for students depending on academic area of interest and / or program selection. Application requirements and deadlines vary.

NYU Abu Dhabi Undergraduate Arts Apprenticeship Awards 

NYU Abu Dhabi invites NYU New York students to apply for competitive Undergraduate Arts Apprenticeship Awards for Spring 2024. The positions span a number of areas within the Arts and Humanities.

The Arts Apprenticeship Awards create a platform for visiting students to contribute to an ongoing research project or serve as an apprentice under the supervision of an NYUAD faculty member, who will serve as a mentor, collaborator, and role model. Students will have access to ultramodern arts facilities at NYU Abu Dhabi

Students selected for the program will be eligible for an apprenticeship award of up to $3,000, in which $2,000 is earned in up to 15 hours/week of the artwork, and $1,000 is applied towards the cost of the student’s meal plan.

The deadline to apply is October 20.
