New faculty courses are approved by the Committee on Courses and Programs (CCP), which consists of representatives from each department at Steinhardt. A new course may be proposed by any full-time tenured, tenure-track, or clinical faculty member.
To submit a proposal for a new course, please follow the steps below.
Step 1
Obtain the most recent Course Proposal MS Word document from your department's CCP representative. Complete the form and submit it with a proposed syllabus to your department curriculum committee for feedback. Revise accordingly.
Step 2
After department approval, complete the Online CCP Course Proposal Form and attach the syllabus.
Step 3
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness will review the proposal form and syllabus and may provide additional feedback to the instructor prior to submission to the Steinhardt Committee on Courses and Programs.
