The Office of Institutional Effectiveness serves the Steinhardt community by supporting the school’s mission and its academic goals and initiatives. The office’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the governance of academic policies and procedures, supporting curricular development and improvement, and directing student learning outcomes assessment and specialized program accreditation.
Our mission in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to maintain, enhance and promote rigorous academic standards in the service of students and faculty through high quality program development and on-going program assessment. We strive to be forward thinking and responsive to emerging educational innovations and we value creative solutions and data-informed decision making.
Course and Program Proposals
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness facilitates the development of courses and programs and oversees the submission and approval of course and program proposals on a school, university, and state level.
