This ensemble teaches the skills needed to excel at singing contemporary background vocals in small groups for recording.

Contemporary Vocal Ensemble

This non-traditional ensemble teaches singers the performance skills needed to excel as a lead singer performing different contemporary genres - pop, R&B, hip hop, rock, reggae, country, world, etc. It's all about being up front and working closely with the musicians in the ensemble.

Pop/Rock Ensemble

Achieve success in the genres of Pop/Rock music. An emphasis will be placed on individualized solo vocal performance through the study of style, communication, and collaboration.

Unplugged Ensemble

Explore a wide variety of music within contemporary and popular genres in a purely acoustic or minimally amplified context.

Join Village Voices where Janis Siegel of The Manhattan Transfer and Lauren Kinhan of New York Voices will equip and empower your voice to respond to the many grooves and genres explored in this exciting, advanced vocal ensemble. We will find and finesse your solo sound and vice versa within the group framework so you are a versatile and skilled musician for the many opportunities your future holds in store.

World Music Vocal Ensemble

World Music ensemble provides a unique perspective and representation of non-Western musical expressions and languages, from Tibetan chants to Indian Raga to Chinese opera to Korean Pop.
