Yvette Pacheco (BS 2006)
Yvette is Vice President of Communications for the Americas at BBC Studio. Previously she worked as VP at Univision, where she developed communications strategies to advance the company's business objectives and position as the leading media company serving Latinx audiences in the U.S.
Daniel Soto Morfín (MA 2014)
Daniel is the Manager of Public Relations for Netflix Mexico. Previously Daniel was the Head of Regional Clients for Latin America at Edelman, leading the corporate practice of the firm in Mexico. He advises regional and global clients from different sectors and industries on corporate reputation, executive positioning, crisis, and thought leadership. His thesis examined the changing relationship between media and public officials.
Xiaochang Li (PhD 2017)
Xiaochang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Stanford University. Her teaching and research interests include the history of computing and information systems, AI and algorithmic culture, speech and language technology, and software/platform studies. Before joining Stanford, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.
Ronnie Deng (MA 2018)
Ronnie is currently an Editorial and Programming coordinator at BritBox, BBC Studios, where she curates and acquires content for the British streaming service. And with a focus on content strategy planning and macro landscape research, she also acts as the key liaison between Editorial, Operations and Product Development. Before joining BBC, she held various roles in media distribution, journalism and social media marketing.
Tobias Keunecke (BS 2016)
Tobi is a Publicity Specialist at Netflix based in London, working across their global film and documentary feature campaigns for the EMEA region. Prior to Netflix, he worked as a Publicist across BuzzFeed's entertainment and commerce divisions in New York and held PR internships at Fox Broadcasting Company, ID Public Relations and Sony Music Entertainment.
Sedem Banini (MA 2019)
Sedem is currently a Business Analyst consulting for the Estee Lauder Companies on eCommerce and Global Online projects. Prior to her time at ELC, she did public relations and worked on corporate events at The One Event with clients such as Vlisco and Infinix. Having studied musical theatre as a media form at MCC, Sedem’s latest project is creating a musical based on Ghana’s independence movement.
Alexandra Dickinson (BS 2007, MA 2012)
Alexandra is a career and negotiation expert. She is founder and CEO of a negotiation training and coaching company Ask For It. Ask For It was her side hustle until she got laid off and decided to devote herself to it full time. She is a past contributing writer at ForbesWomen and has spoken at places like UN Women, Facebook and SXSW. Her work has been highlighted in major media outlets, including Harvard Business Review, CNBC, New York Magazine, Glamour, Refinery29, and more.
Liz Una Kim (BS 2012)
Liz is a marketer with a background in digital media and e-commerce, obsessed with how retail is evolving IRL and online. She works at Instagram in Product Marketing for Consumer Shopping. Liz was a founding member of BuzzFeed's marketing team. Previously, she was in print editorial, producing fashion shoots at Vanity Fair and covers at The New Yorker. Liz is passionate about building diverse and equitable spaces, and holds donation-based office hours to guide aspiring professionals!
