NYU Steinhardt’s Master of Arts in Pathokinesiology is a post-professional degree program designed to prepare physical therapists for advanced practice, clinical research, and teaching. This 34-credit program equips you with competent clinical research skills to address motor control issues in individuals with physical disabilities. Through coursework and independent study, you will develop expertise in analyzing and synthesizing human motion, evaluating human motion, and designing and implementing research projects. The curriculum covers both normal and abnormal human motion, utilizing advanced tools such as electro-goniometry, electromyography, dynamometry, and cinematography for measurement and evaluation.
