Dr. Baquet is a counselor educator committed to preparing reflective, culturally responsive clinicians through experiential and transformative learning. As both an educator and practicing clinician, her teaching emphasizes the integration of theory and practice while fostering critical self-awareness, multicultural competence, and the development of a strong professional identity. In addition to her faculty and academic leadership roles, she maintains a private practice and provides clinical supervision to New York State limited permit holders working toward licensure. Her scholarship explores counselor development through multicultural, critical, and transformative frameworks, with particular interests in experiential pedagogy, social justice, advocacy, critical consciousness, and culturally responsive counselor education.
