Out-of-Pocket Costs
Students are responsible for purchasing flights or arranging other transportation to and from Tulsa, and will be notified when to book. We recommend comparing tickets on multiple sites to ensure the best fare. Students are also responsible for booking a hotel or Airbnb accommodation.
In addition, participants should budget for other out-of-pocket costs, including daily meals, transportation to and from the airport, transportation between their accommodations in Tulsa and their placement site, and other personal incidentals. These costs will vary depending on individual students' budgets, preferences, and choices. Students are encouraged to research potential costs by using online budgeting tools such as Numbeo, Expatistan, and Budget Your Trip.
Scholarships
Thanks to a generous gift from the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), 50% of the total program cost (airfare and housing) will be covered by the foundation. This scholarship is in addition to any other financial aid the student may receive. Students must complete the full placement in Tulsa to receive scholarship funding.
