Praised by the New Yorker as "agile and fiery", "vibrant and masterful" by Opera News, and "superb" by the New York Timessoprano, Jamilyn Manning-White, is in high demand as a stage performer, recitalist, and concert soloist. Past season’s highlights include: Clorinda in La Cenerentola and Laurie in The Tender Land with Glimmerglass Opera, Eurydice in Charpentier’s, La descente d'Orphée aux enfers with Gotham Chamber Opera, covering for Patricia Racette with less than 24 hour’s notice as Elle in La Voix Humaine with Opera Philadelphia, the world premiere of The Daughter of Capulet with composer Thomas Pasatieri and the Phoenicia International Festival, Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata (abridged) with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor with Heartbeat Opera, The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte with Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, the Lakes Area Music Festival, and The Martha’s Vineyard Opera Festival, Musetta in La Bohéme with Bangor Symphony Orchestra and Utah Festival Opera, and Gilda in Rigoletto with MidAtlantic Opera. 

Equally experienced on the concert stage and in musical theatre, Manning-White has sung with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, American Festival Chorus and Orchestra, Waterbury Symphony, Litha Symphony Orchestra, Berkshire Choral Festival, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Bangor Symphony Orchestra. She has alsotoured throughout Canada and the United States singing Phoebe in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Other credits include the Opera Singer in The Architecture of Becoming (Off-Broadway), Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music with Broadway stars Kate Baldwin and Phillipa Soo, and Violetta in A Lover’s Tale with the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Manning-White has also sung in recitals with Alan Held, Richard Paul Fink, Mark Adamo and Stephen Schwartz. 

A passionate educator, Manning-White has maintained an active private teaching studio for more than 17 years. She serves as adjunct voice faculty at NYU Steinhardt, is a six year voice faculty member at The National Children’s Chorus in NYC, served as the resident voice instructor for the Yale University Glee Club for seven years, and maintains a private studio in New York City and online. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Utah State University, a Master of Music in Opera Theatre Performance from Arizona State University, and an Artist Diploma from the Yale School of Music. She is a member of the NATS Northern Utah Chapter and the New York City Chapter, and is proud to be a 10 year member of the American Guild of Musical Arts and the Actor’s Equity Association. When not working, she enjoys exploring new GF eats, the outdoors, jazz clubs, running, and spending time with her husband, 4 year old daughter, and 14 year old beagle.
