Bassoonist and vocalist Gina Cuffari commissioned double bassist Gregg August in 2018 to write a work involving both singing and playing the bassoon. “Stand Up With Me,” for bassoon/voice, double bass, and piano, was premiered at NYU in February 2019, then recorded in September.
