At the NYU Steinhardt Screen Scoring program, we are dedicated to creating a generation of composers that thrive in all aspects of the modern media scoring industry. We offer four exciting back-to-back summer workshops in film, television, videogame, and advertising, all in the epicenter of the global music and film industries, New York City.

Our workshops are taught by top professionals in the field such as Mark Snow (The X-Files, Blue Bloods), Michael Levine (Siren, Star Wars: Detours), Suzana Peric (The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs), Todd Kasow (True Grit, Wonderstruck), Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, Feud), Nate Barr (The Americans, True Blood), Blake Neely (Arrow, Riverdale), Pete Nashel (Marco Polo, Incorporated), Tass Fillipos (The Americans, The Departed), Tom Salta (Halo, Killer Instinct), Jason Kanter (Avalanche Studios), Gina Zdanowicz (Serial Lab), Eric Hachikian (Marco Polo, When We First Met), Jay Wadley (The OA, Indignation), Keith D’Arcy (SONGS Music Publishing), Karen Macmillan (Imagem / Concord Music) and more.

There is one general application for our Screen Scoring Workshops. Applicants will be able to indicate for which workshops they would like to be considered, and submit the respective audition requirements.
