All incoming music undergraduates must take a music theory and aural comprehension exam as part of the orientation process. Please visit the Undergraduate Orientation Portal for details. If you don't know how to access the portal, please contact the Steinhardt Orientation Group at email@example.com
Placement exams in music theory, ear training, and music history are required of students entering all graduate programs in music (excluding Music Business students who do not take these tests).
For additional information, please see Graduate Theory and History Placement Exam Information.
