To best meet the needs of our students, we have decided to suspend enrollment in the Post-Master's Advanced Certificate in Music Education. We encourage you to explore Classical Instrumental Performance (Advanced Diploma) or Jazz Instrumental Performance (Advanced Diploma).
Go beyond your graduate education by taking advanced classes in music education and electives in music performance, composition, music technology, music business, or any topic in the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions. Enhance your career as an innovative music educator teaching in higher education programs, or prepare for doctoral study.
Throughout your certificate course work, you’ll study:
Your curriculum combines intensive study in music education and pedagogy with performance opportunities or private study in instrumental performance. With your faculty advisor, you will devise a program of study based on your interests and area of specialization.
You'll also hone your musical talents by participating in a variety of performing ensembles and chamber groups directed by leading New York artists, as well as private study in instrumental performance.
