The 27-36 credit Doctor of Occupational Therapy for Practicing Occupational Therapists program prepares you for a leadership position in academia, health facilities, schools, and government and public service agencies. As a trained OT, you’ll expand your evidence-based practice by collaborating with professionals from a range of disciplines and strengthening your analytical and clinical skills.
Core Course Sequence and Culminating Experience
You’ll take courses in guidelines for intervention, evidence-based practice, assessment, leadership, and teaching for the health professions. You’ll also have the opportunity to specialize in the clinical area that most interests you. The program culminates in the creation of an evidence-informed professional ePortfolio that demonstrates your advancement of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through the integrated academic and clinical work within the program. The ePortfolios provide students with an opportunity to synthesize their training and intervene in ongoing conversations in the world of occupational therapy.
