One of the main goals of IPAC is to plan events that help build a community for international students and document diverse students within Steinhardt, and bridge the gap between them and domestic students. We conduct signature events throughout the year along with special seasonal events in order to create a space for students to build connections, give them networking opportunities, and help create a sense of belonging.
Signature Events
IPAC Panel - Steinhardt New International Student Orientation
At the beginning of each semester, the Steinhardt Office of Student Affairs holds orientation sessions for newly admitted international students. IPAC representatives participate in the orientation facilitation, and present a panel where they share their experiences as international students navigating their life in Steinhardt, NYU and NYC.
IPAC Cooking Class
We collaborate closely with the amazing chefs at Steinhardt Kitchen and conduct fun cooking events! At these kitchen events, participants get to learn how to cook dishes from all around the world. In the past few years, we have made Thanksgiving side dishes, street foods around the world, tortillas around the world, and so much more!
Art and Craft
Art and Craft themed events are also a signature series that we offer throughout the year! Whether you’re a novice or an expert, we guarantee you’ll have some fun painting and creating art with us!
Special Events
Besides our signature events, we also conduct some special events during different seasons with diverse themes. Some of the events we’ve held in the past are: Brunch without Borders, Cultural Holiday celebrations, Fun and Games, Movie Nights, Trivia Nights, De-stress events, and Unpack with IPAC conversation hours.
