The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is dedicated to fostering the professional development of Steinhardt graduate students. To this end, the GSO offers professional development funding on a competitive basis to help defray the cost of various professional activities including, but not limited to, attending professional conferences, research projects, art exhibits, musical performances, and speaking engagements.
About Competitive Professional Reimbursement
Students are reimbursed for expenses related to professional development activities completed before the application deadlines. It is not a scholarship to fund professional development activities before attendance. The selection committee will determine who is reimbursed by assessing the requested application materials. The committee is the GSO President, Vice President, and Treasurer. The GSO advisor audits all decisions.
Eligibility Requirements
- Before the application submission is due, an applicant's professional development activity must be completed.

- Applications can be submitted only once for each event or activity.
- If applying for multiple reimbursements, one application per submission must be submitted.
