Annabel Miller Green, President

Annabel is honored to be GSO’s President for the 2024/25 academic year. She hopes to create long-lasting relationships within our community. She looks forward to hearing your thoughts, experiences, and ideas, getting to know you all better and fostering a positive and supportive environment. Annabel is from Manchester, England, and she is currently a Master’s student studying Performing Arts Administration. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, is a former professional dancer and has worked as a volunteer across NYC for five years with Broadway Cares and Dancers Responding to Aids. Annabel has continuous career goals of advocacy, accessibility and inclusion within the arts and education fields; she hopes her role within GSO will allow her to translate these goals into action.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Presides over and coordinates the agenda for the Board and Council meetings
- Represents the GSO at various meetings, including the Student Government Assembly and President Council meetings
- Oversees all GSO-related matters and delegates assignments to Board members
- Serves as the liaison between club representatives
- Conducts elections and executive board appointment processes
- Attends governance meetings on behalf of the GSO
Hannah Krall, Vice President

Hannah is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master's in Higher Education & Student Affairs. Growing up in New Jersey, she attended Montclair State University, where she received a Bachelor's in English and spent four years there, being involved throughout campus and residential life. Hannah hopes to bring her student-focused approach to the vice presidency, be a voice, and help all Steinhardt graduate students become better people and professionals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attends GSO Board meetings and Town Hall meetings
- Plans and facilitates monthly Council meetings
- Serves as the liaison between the Executive Board and the Steinhardt Graduate Clubs regarding essential deadlines, policies, and procedures
- In the absence of the President, presides over Board meetings
- Coordinates the annual executive board election process in the spring and the appointment process of any missing board members in the fall
- Attends governance meetings on behalf of the GSO
Vacant, Treasurer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plans the budget for the year
- Tracks and updates the Board on the budget
- Works with department representatives, executive board members, and Competitive Professional Development Reimbursement Fund winners on fund reimbursement
Pritha Mukherji, Senator

Pritha is a first-year incoming graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Media, Culture and Communication. Born and raised in Mumbai, India, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Media, Information and Technoculture at Western University, from which she graduated on the Dean’s Honor List. As senator of GSO, she looks forward to bringing forth a student-first approach through an intersectional lens and creating a meaningful impact on the NYU community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Represents the GSO at University Senate/Student Senators Council (SSC), School Senate, and Student Government Assembly
- Reports to the Board and Council members at the regular meetings the current issues of concern before the NYU Senate, School Senate, and the SGA
- Serves as a member of the School Senate and coordinates the activities of all graduate student representatives to the School Senate
Manuella Asare, Secretary

Manuella is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master's Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD). She was born and raised in Accra, Ghana, In West Africa, and moved to New York in 2015. She graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and a minor in African Diaspora Studies. Manuella’s ethnic and cultural background has allowed her to develop diverse perspectives and double consciousness in tackling various societal issues. Manuella looks forward to working with the other board members and creating a more well-rounded experience for her fellow graduate students at NYU Steinhardt.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Keeps minutes at all board and council meetings
- Records attendance and tallies votes during board and council meetings
- Attends school standing committee meetings and represent GSO at other events/meetings, when needed
Saint Phan, Publicity Co-Chair

Saint is a first-year master’s student in the Media, Culture, and Communication program. After spending his undergraduate education studying business administration at USC, he is excited to pivot to a field that is more suitable to his character (and one that is in a city with so much to offer). He is looking forward to meeting new friends and going to museums in the city.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between media outlets, the GSO constituency, and the GSO Executive Board
- Promotes accurate and up-to-date university-wide events and happenings in the newsletter and, where applicable, on social media
- Fosters an inclusive environment online through the newsletter and social media platforms
Vinny Nelson, Publicity Co-Chair

Vinny is a first-year graduate student studying Music Business in the Music and Performing Arts Professions department. He is excited about curating and sharing programs and initiatives hosted by GSO and GSO-sponsored clubs. He loves skiing, HBO and his Bernese Mountain Dog!

- Acts as a liaison between media outlets, the GSO constituency, and the GSO Executive Board.
- Promotes accurate and up-to-date university-wide events and happenings in the newsletter and, where applicable, on social media.

Leta Liu, Event Coordinator

Leta is an enthusiast of art and culture and an advocate for DEI, the international student community, and the immigrant community. She especially encourages gender-fluid beauty and free self-expression. She has lived in different regions around the world and enjoys multicultural experiences. In this role, she wants to help students explore their identities and find a sense of belonging in NYC.

- Plans and develops events for the NYU Steinhardt graduate community
- Cultivates collaborative relationships with, but not limited to, NYU Steinhardt, Clubs, various vendors, and event space coordinators to create and host events on behalf of GSO

Javon Whittaker, Event Coordinator

Javan Whittaker is an experienced educator with 12 years of specialization in Theatre Arts. He is currently in his second year, majoring in Education Leadership, Advocacy, and Politics. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago's vibrant Caribbean twin islands, Javan is passionate about Broadway shows, spontaneous hangouts, and brunch.

- Cultivates collaborative relationships with, but not limited to, NYU Steinhardt, Clubs, various vendors, and event space coordinators to create and host events on behalf of GSO

Kyle Wang, EDI Chair

Kyle graduated from NYU in 2023 with a Learning Technology and Experience Design degree. Afterwards, he returned to NYU to pursue a second master's in Math Education while teaching Algebra and Geometry at the high school he once attended. He is passionate about working with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them connect math to their personal experiences, and inspiring them to use math as a tool to make an impact in the world. Kyle is an active in volunteer with an LGBTQ nonprofit organization, where he empowers LGBTQ youth to fight against discrimination and stigmatization. Outside of teaching and studying, Kyle loves exploring the city, with urban design being one of his biggest hobbies. Kyle enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures, with a particular focus on Native American history throughout the U.S.

- Advocates for the diverse identities, life experiences, and life paths across Steinhardt’s graduate population
- Creates events, professional development opportunities, and discussions centered on marginalized voices
