Global Study Scholarship

MA, Sociology of Education

The Steinhardt Global Study Scholarship enables graduate students to participate in study abroad programs while enrolled at NYU.

At Steinhardt, we believe that graduate-level, faculty-led study abroad can significantly enhance your professional and academic education.  Award recipients may use this scholarship towards the cost of tuition and housing/activity fees for a Steinhardt-based graduate study abroad program. It may be redeemed at any time during your studies and in any semester.  This offer is in addition to any other financial aid or scholarships you may receive from NYU.

How to Utilize Your Scholarship

Once you have been accepted to a study abroad program, please notify the Office of Academic Initiatives and Global Programs that you would like to have your scholarship applied to that course.  This can be done by sending an email to steinhardt.global@nyu.edu.  AIGP will then notify the Office of Financial Aid of your award and it will be deducted from your Bursar bill.

If you plan on participating in more than one study abroad course, you may decide to which program the scholarship should be applied.  However, the scholarship can not be applied retroactively if you choose to not study abroad again.

Students must be currently matriculated at Steinhardt, with Steinhardt as their home school, at the time the scholarship is used, in order to qualify.
