Thomas Hoyt has appeared as soloist or guest artist with the Bach Aria Group, Philharmonia Virtuosi and the Chamber music Society of Lincoln Center. An advocate of new music, Professor Hoyt has performed with many of New York’s contemporary music ensembles: Speculum Musicae, the New York New Music Ensemble, Bang on a Can All Stars and the S.E.M. Ensemble. He is also a major player of traditional music and is a member of New York Big Brass and Solid Brass, and has performed with numerous New York orchestras: the American Symphony, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the New York City Opera and the New York City Ballet.

Professor Hoyt has played in over a dozen Broadway shows and played on many television and radio jingles. He can also be heard on a variety of recordings, ranging from a collection of Tenor arias with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s to Bang on a Can’s Music for Airports.
