Erin Readling is a Data Analyst and Communications Associate at the Research Alliance for New York City Schools. In this role, Erin contributes to a range of studies examining educational equity in NYC, with a focus on developing compelling data visualizations and supporting the production, release, and dissemination of Research Alliance work to diverse audiences.
Erin brings a strong background in data analysis and science communication, having previously worked as a research assistant in the Wesleyan University Physics Education Research Lab. There, she developed data visualizations and analytical tools to identify trends in student learning outcomes, aimed at helping educators better understand and address students' needs. While at Wesleyan, Erin also served as a Communications Intern for the Astronomy Department and as Science Journalist for the College of Integrated Science. Erin’s passion for educational equity was shaped by her work as a Teaching Fellow with Breakthrough New York and as a Science Instructor with Oliver Scholars, where she developed and implemented science curricula for high-achieving students from underserved NYC communities.
Erin earned a B.A. in Physics with a minor in Education Studies from Wesleyan University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Her professional interests include educational equity, diversity in STEM, and creating actionable insights through data analysis that can inform policy and practice.
