Colton Dodd is a New York City–based composer whose work spans film, television, video games, and dance. With a background as a classically trained pianist, music director, and music technologist, he brings a collaborative, story-driven approach to scoring. His work has been featured in projects such as Ken Burns’ Leonardo da Vinci, American Rust (Season 2), Fleishman Is in Trouble, and The Sky Is Everywhere.

Colton’s original compositions have appeared in short films, games, and dance works, including 22 Percent: A Disintegrating Data Visualization and The truth is the truth is the truth is the—both interdisciplinary collaborations that highlight his interest in socially engaged art. He has also worked as an orchestrator and copyist for ensembles such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, and served as Music Director at the Vail Dance Festival.

Colton teaches at NYU and the Peabody Conservatory, where he mentors emerging screen composers and explores the evolving relationship between music, technology, and media. He holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, NYU, and Berklee College of Music.
