Professional Biography: Anna M. Ogle is a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with over 20 year of mental health experience in New Jersey and New York. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and she earned a Master’s degree in Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Kean University. Anna is also a certified clinical ADHD provider. Anna’s clinical experience over the years has allowed her to support individuals from a diverse background which includes children, teenagers, individuals, families, couples and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She has provided case management, clinical coordination of services, legal advocacy, ADHD coaching and psycho-educational training to individuals, parents and caregivers. She provided case management, coordination of services and advocacy for developmentally disabled individuals while she worked at the Division of Developmental Disability for over 7 years. She currently works as a legal guardian at the Bureau of Guardianship Services and in this role she provides legal advocacy and when needed, she makes end of life decisions (DNR/LSMT) with the designated medical treatment team at hospitals throughout Bergen County with the guidance and oversight of Disability Rights New Jersey. As an adjunct professor, Anna is currently teaching a graduate course on Marriage, Couples and Families at New York University in the Applied Psychology Department. Throughout her career, Anna has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in private practice. She has also offered therapeutic services in the public school setting and has functioned as a member of interdisciplinary teams and human rights committees. Anna is culturally competent and has extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, improving coping skills, improving self-esteem, assertiveness and communication skills, the development of personal growth plans, stress management and she offers ADHD coaching. She specializes in relational, marital and family therapy with a focus on premarital and marital counseling, relational difficulties, divorce, infidelity, parenting, parent-child relationships, blended and step-families and major life transitions within the family system. In her clinical practice, Anna offers a multitude of psychodynamic modalities which include cognitive behavioral therapy, mentalization based therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, art, play therapy, positive psychology, ADHD coaching and mindfulness practice. Anna’s theoretical framework for conceptualizing her relational sessions are based on her knowledge of Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Systemic/Milan Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, Contextual Therapy, Transgenerational Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
