Josué Vera is a Puerto Rican multimedia composer and audio director based in New York City. His multifaceted body of work supports and highlights the narrative structures of various mediums, including but not limited to film, podcasts, and video games.
Josué is co-founder and organizer of Game Sound Summit — previously known as Video Game Music Con, Puerto Rico. This 2-day Puerto Rican conference is entirely focused around audio for video games, bringing together industry professionals to share their experience and knowledge, as well as various local organizations from the island's video game industry. Josué has also worked as a volunteer in GameSoundCon — the leading conference dedicated to video game music and sound production — and as a Conference Associate in Game Developers Conference, the game industry's premier professional event for developers of all disciplines.
Josué is a co-founder and Creative Director of Trivium Studios LLC, a game audio production company currently working with indie studio VibeXP on their upcoming game The Coldest Winter. As a composer, Vera has worked on multiple award-winning films that have been presented in festivals such as Female Eye Film Festival, International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival, Apex Film Festival, and DOC NYC. His music has premiered on services such as Amazon and Alaska Airlines.
Josué holds a Master's degree in Screen Scoring from NYU Steinhardt and a BM in Music Composition from the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
