Dr. Laura Pantaleo is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with teenagers, young adults, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, impulsivity, and emotion dysregulation. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and is certified in Trauma Focused CBT.
Dr. Pantaleo received her Master of Arts in School Psychology and Doctor of Psychology from Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Her graduate training spans the lifespan from early childhood through middle age and she has worked in a variety of settings including schools, community outpatient centers, acute inpatient care, and long-term residential facilities.
Prior to starting her own private practice Quiet Mind Psychology, Dr. Pantaleo worked in a DBT and CBT group practice where she was an active member on the consultation team and lead training in TF-CBT. She provided individual DBT and CBT therapy, and phone coaching, and led multifamily and adult DBT skills groups. Outside of her private practice, Dr. Pantaleo is an adjunct clinical supervisor to current doctoral students at Ferkauf.
