Shikhar Goel's current research interests lie at the intersections of critical legal studies and media studies. Before joining the Department of Media, Culture and Communication (MCC) at New York University in 2021 as a PhD student, he worked as an ICAS: MP researcher with the Sarai programme at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), New Delhi. He holds double MA in Law, Politics and Society (2017-19) and Historical Studies (2015-17) from Ambedkar University Delhi and Nalanda University, respectively. Shikhar’s Hindi poems have appeared in several anthologies, literary journals, and websites. Translations of his poems have been published in Marathi, Kannada, English and Urdu as well.
