Allison Reynolds, LCSW-R, LCAT, MT-BC maintains her own music psychotherapy private practice, with adults and older adults, and is adjunct faculty in the Music Therapy program at NYU Steinhardt. She received her master of arts in Music Therapy from NYU Steinhardt and her master of social work from Hunter College. She is a certified Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapist and Austin Vocal Psychotherapist, currently training under Dr. Diane Austin as a trainer in the Vocal Psychotherapy method. She has presented and led workshops nationally and internationally, including conferences in Japan and Portugal.
She also works as a Clinical Social Worker and is currently the Director of Behavioral Health at SMC Manhattan, a clinic located in Harlem, which specializes in treating adults with HIV, mental health diagnosis, substance use disorders, and trauma. She oversees the Behavioral Health Department, supervising staff and interns, providing psychotherapy, and advocating for services on behalf of her patients.
