Adrienne is a public historian, educator, and researcher interested in the politics of history and social studies education in formal and informal settings. Her academic work focuses on how presidential libraries function as educational institutions of the state through their roles as archives, museums, monuments, and burial sites. She is particularly interested in how identity, space, place, and civil religion intersect with history and social studies education. Her work inside and outside of academia are informed by her years working in the field of public history as a tour guide for Big Onion Walking Tours and as an educator at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and the Museum of Chinese in America. She holds a BA in History and Anthropology from the University of California, Irvine.
