Adjunct Faculty & Visual Arts Administration M.A. Program Alumni Liaison

Art and Art Professions

Vida Schreibman holds an M.A. in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a B.F.A. from Cooper Union in New York City. She has been an adjunct faculty member of New York University, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, Department of Art & Art Professions, since 1992. Other academic appointments include Associate Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute, Master of Professional Studies, Arts and Cultural Management Program where she was a thesis advisor and taught leadership courses for five years. 

She currently serves as Alumni Liaison for the Visual Arts Administration M.A. Program and is Secretary of the VAA Alumni Council. She has been an active member of the VAA M.A. Program admissions committee for many years. Her course, “Introduction to Art Galleries and Museums of NYC” is offered to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Additionally, she teaches adult education courses covering a wide range of topics including contemporary art appreciation, how to begin an art collection, a survey of art market trends, career opportunities in the field of visual arts management at local community colleges and art centers.

Vida Schreibman, as founder of Cultural Destinations of NYC, has been designing and conducting art tours for over twenty-five years serving the needs and interests of a variety of domestic and international visitor groups including corporate and professional conferences, incentive travel, spouse programs and cultural, civic and alumni organizations. As a knowledgeable arts professional and educator she deftly highlights New York City’s diverse & vibrant art world with escorted visits to museums, galleries, auction houses, artists’ studios and alternative exhibition spaces.
