Sandy Lee has a background in both finance and the arts. Across disciplines, she possesses interest in themes of global exchange; community; and shifts in materials, processes, and technology. Within finance, Lee is a specialist in alternative investments. Over her two-decade career, she has advised institutional and private investors on hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, impact, and esoteric investments.

Trained in curatorial work, Lee currently serves as President and Finance Committee Chair of the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the nonprofit entity established by the abstract artist. Additionally, she teaches on art markets at New York University and has previously taught at Parsons School of Design. 

Lee holds a BA from Yale University and an MA from Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and Parsons.
