  Richard Brodsky is a New York State licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of experience as a private practitioner and 25 years as a certified school psychologist. As a licensed psychologist in private practice in Jefferson Valley, NY, Dr. Brodsky provides psychotherapy and evaluation services to adolescents, teenagers and adults. Dr. Brodsky enjoys helping people explore the solutions and insights they seek through therapeutic and diagnostic processes.

Dr. Brodsky earned his doctoral degree in school-clinical-child psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Post-doctoral training has included Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with Cognitive Behavioral Consultants in White Plains, NY.


As an adjunct instructor, he teaches graduate level courses in the Department of Applied Psychology at NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. He has taught Assessment of Children And Adolescents, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Practicum, and Internship in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. Previously, Dr. Brodsky taught graduate and undergraduate psychology courses in ethics, psychopathology, assessment, and personality theory at Fairfield University and Mercy College.
