Fellows are selected through a rigorous application and selection process.

NYU Green Grants support members of the NYU community in pursuing projects that improve the university's operational environmental performance, foster environmental literacy and community engagement, advance applied research and design, expand sustainability learning opportunities, and demonstrate the viability of best practices and technologies for sustainability. Any current student, faculty, administrator, or staff member can apply. Applications are accepted on a semesterly basis.

The Violet Internship & Research Award provides financial support to students pursuing unpaid/low-paying and non-credit structured experiential learning opportunities such as internships and research assistantships. These opportunities are designed to provide active learning experiences through hands-on skill development, purposeful supervision, intentional reflection, and exposure to practical work or research relevant to a student’s professional journey.
